How does the TrueFit Hip Belt make carrying more comfortable?
When tightened snugly around the top of your hip bones, the padded belt helps support your backpack’s weight through your hips, taking pressure off your shoulders. A properly fitted TrueFit Hip Belt helps transfer up to 80% of the load for a more comfortable carry.
How do I attach it? Is it removable?
Yes, it’s removable. Lift the backpack’s lower lumbar pad to release the Velcro and reveal the opening. Thread the hip belt through, centre it, and secure the Velcro before closing the lumbar pad.
What’s the difference between Matte-X and TPU?
Both fabrics are water and abrasion resistant. The main difference is their appearance:
- Matte-X: A matte finish with an X pattern. It can pick up lint and pet hair, which can be removed with a lint roller.
- TPU: A slightly glossy finish with a visible grid pattern.
Choose the finish that matches your backpack or the look you prefer.
Does it have pockets?
Yes. Two zippered pockets keep small essentials like cash, coins, and snacks close at hand. They’re not intended for bulky items.

Can I adjust the hip belt’s height to suit my torso?
Yes. You can adjust its vertical position by approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) to help the padding sit correctly over your hips. Combined with three waist sizes, this gives you more control over the fit.
